There are many crying filters on Snapchat, and their effects on snaps also differ. Besides, the crying filters you see on Snapchat are also different from the ones on TikTok.
Below, we have explained how to use the crying filter on Snapchat in four steps.
How to get the crying filter on Snapchat
Before you can use the crying filter on your snaps, you have to open the app, go to the camera tab, and tap the emoji icon. This will show you the different filters, and you need to scroll to the last filter to see the Explore tab.
Tap on Explore to see the Explore page. You will find a search box above the page. Type “Crying” in the field and choose the first filter from the result. The first filter is from Snapchat itself.
Tap the filter, and it will take you back to the camera screen. Now, record your face and see the effect yourself on the camera screen.
From the Explore search result page, there are other crying filters you can try out. Those filters are made by other creators and are free to be used for snaps. However, the most commonly used for snaps is the one by Snapchat.
Please, note that you have to give the Snapchat app access to your device’s camera to record snaps and use filters. Else, the app won’t work effectively.
You can give camera access to the Snapchat app on an iPhone device by going to the Settings app >> Snapchat >> Camera. When you are in the camera tab, tap Enable.
The crying filter has not been added directly to the filters displayed on the camera screen. Hence, you have to go to the Explore page and search for it. There are also many filters you may want to try on the Explore page.
When you have added the filter, the app takes you back to the camera screen, where you can now record your face. The effect is applied automatically, and you will be able to see it as you record.
Finally, you can keep the video in your device gallery by saving it to your camera roll or post it on your story when you are done recording. If the filter does not work for you, here is why.
