9mobile begins registering its subscribers for NIN

In a bid to help its customers physically register for their National Identification Number – NIN service, 9Mobile has has started NIN enrollment for its subscribers in selected Experience Centres across the country.

A while ago, it has since started to allow customers to link their SIMs to their NIN for free. However, only those that have previously enrolled for the service can link their lines. You can simply walk into 9mobile experience centres to get enrolled.

The centres where customers can register their NIN for free at the moment are 43, Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island; 31, Marina Road, Marina and 23 Road by 402 junctions, Festac Town in Lagos. Also included are two Abuja Experience Centres located at 8, Kikuyu close, off Aminu Kano, and Plot 1774, Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent both in Wuse 2.

With this development, subscribers no longer need to join a long queue for their NIN registration and as result, expose themselves to the risk of contracting the deadly pandemic.

The Chief Commercial Officer 9mobile, Stjepan Udovicic while commenting on the development, said the telco was concerned about the large number of people clustering at NIMC Centres. He also added that the Company is happy to be of assistance to its esteemed subscribers and Nigerians.

Mr Udovicic said:

“As Nigeria's customer-centric telco, we understand the pressures Nigerians are going through in trying to obtain a valid NIN and link it to their SIMs and the possible exposure to Covid-19 in the process. So, we took this opportunity to collaborate with regulators in making the exercise easier and safer for our customers.

He further disclosed that more 9mobile Experience Centres would commence NIN enrollment very soon. Udovicic also assured customers that the operator is always ready to go the extra mile and that the free physical registration at the designated centres will follow all COVID-19 protocols.
