Most smartphones now come with the ability to allow dual audio and audio sharing. Specific Bluetooth speaker brands also have developed apps to allow connection with multiple speakers. Here, we have explained how to connect multiple Bluetooth speakers and headphones to a phone.
Do you know you can connect a set of headphones and Bluetooth speakers to the same smartphone? Interestingly, you can do this on both Android phones and iPhone devices.
About Dual Audio and Audio Sharing
Generally, smartphones are used to connect with a Bluetooth speaker. However, during a moment when you want a great sound and would like to share a song you are listening to with a friend in close proximity, you can do this simply with a Bluetooth connection rather than spending your money buying an audio splitter.

However, to be able to connect multiple Bluetooth speakers and headphones, there is a minimum requirement for the native Bluetooth version that comes with your phone.
For example, Bluetooth version v4.2 allows a connection of about 30 metres and only accepts a one-to-one connection. Bluetooth version v5 however, allows connection up to about 120 metres and can be paired with two devices at a go.
Specific Bluetooth speaker makers also have audio apps that let you pair up to two speakers at once.
Mostly, all new smartphones accept connection with more than one audio Bluetooth device. The functionality on Android is referred to as dual audio, while it is called audio sharing on iPhone.
This will allow you to be able to play audio from your smartphone to two audio Bluetooth devices at once.
Android phones such as Samsung Galaxy S8 or later offers a Dual Audio option to allow users to pair with multiple speakers and headphones from the Bluetooth Settings.
Also, the Audio sharing feature has been enabled for specific models of the iPhone, starting from iPhone 8 and later. As long as you don’t use an old gadget, then your device should have such functionality enabled natively.
