The default Hostinger nameservers are;

  • dns-parking.com
  • dns-parking.com

Edit the domain nameservers and add the default Hostinger nameservers accordingly.

Add Domain Name to Host

Log in to your Hostinger account and click on Hosting. The Hosting tab is loaded and you should proceed to add a website. Click Add a website and type the domain name purchased early in the domain section. Also, add a strong password to protect the website.

Further, click Add and the website is added almost immediately.

Install WordPress

After you have added the domain, click on Manage option placed right in front of the domain name added. Here, you will find some sections available for your use.

From the Website section, select Auto-installer and choose WordPress from the list. The WordPress auto-installer app will start and you only need to fill the required fields.

For the fields input, select HTTP or HTTPS (only if you are sure there is a valid SSL certificate for the domain name) and input the domain name right next to it. Further, add an administrator username and password for access to the WordPress website backend. Also, ensure you keep a backup copy of the details.

Ensure you add the administrator email and the website title. Website title can be anything that comes to your mind at the moment. However, it can still be edited after installation.

Once you are done filling the required fields, next is to click Install and wait for some seconds for the installation process to complete until you see the message WordPress installed successfully.

Visit the Admin Panel (WordPress Backend)

Ensure you click on the administrator link generated on the page. This takes you to the WordPress admin backend of your website. For the first time, you don’t need the admin details supplied earlier. Subsequently, you can access the admin panel by typing the domain name and adding /wp-admin in your web browser. You may also visit the domain URL of your website and see it live already.
