How to Make Money with a Blog
This is a method of displaying advertisements on your blog to readers whereby you get paid based on the number of clicks you get on the advert. An excellent example of PPC advertising is Google Adsense.
Google Adsense – as the name implies, is owned and controlled by Google. It approves blogs who met their terms and conditions to run PPC advertisements on their blogs and thereby make money with it. Google Adsense is by far the most popular PPC advertising medium among bloggers.
Although, out of any hundred blogs around, only a few meet with the Adsense terms, thereby not getting approved. Maybe those guys found it difficult to understand the big grammar on the AdSense policy page, or there is a different reason why they don’t get approval.
Well, I will let you know what I do to get AdSense approval quickly. The first thing is to write around 25 – 30 articles of about 1000 words, each related to my niche for the blog. I then design at least one image for each piece I have written.
I also provide a good about us, contact us and policy page in a well-outlined manner. It doesn’t matter how old your blog is to get approved for AdSense. I have used this a lot of time, and it has never failed me. After this, I applied for Adsense and got approval straight up.
Another thing you need to know about AdSense because the number of days required for you to get approval depends on the country, just like in the case of calculating cost per click (CPC). Of course, you shouldn’t choose a country where you have no one, as you must provide a valid address to get your verification pin as soon as you reach the verification threshold.
Adsense makes payment every 21st – 23rd of another month. That is, what you earn in January will be paid on the 21st – 23rd of February provided you reach the payment threshold at the end of January. The payment threshold for dollar accounts is $100, while 60 pounds is the threshold for pounds.
PPV Advertising lets you get paid for displaying advertisements on your blog. When you show adverts, you get paid per the number of adverts displayed to your visitors. Although what you earn might not make much sense like the case of PPC, but it’s worth it if you have good site visits to your blog.
An example I will consider is media.net. Media.net, just like AdSense, requires you to get approval before you start displaying ads. But unlike AdSense, how old your blog is, is one of the factors that determine your acceptance into the system.
After getting approval, you will be able to display ads on your blog and start making money. Blogs with the most traffic from the USA has a high chance of earning better with Media.net.
Affiliate marketing allows you to promote someone’s or a company’s product while you earn commission on every sale they make through you. As an affiliate marketer, you display ads that take visitors to other people’s products while they choose whether to buy or not.
If you are lucky enough that they buy, you get your commission as attached to such products. Although, most successful affiliate marketers have a good audience. If you are planning to earn big too, work more on your traffic to make more sales from your blog. The more the traffic, the more the sales and the more the money.
Amazon and commission junction have been around for a while now, and many people have been making a living whilst using them. There’s no limit to what you can earn with companies as an affiliate marketer.
The three methods I have discussed are the leading and most profitable ways of making money blogging. The beautiful part of these three methods is that you can use them independently (I mean one of the methods) on a blog or use them together. After all, they all depend on traffic, and you can use the same traffic you have all over the mediums. There are other ways you can earn money with a blog but maybe looked into in future.
